Nathan was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy when he was 5 years old. Early on, Nathan had trouble getting up from a seated position and going up stairs. After his initial diagnosis, his family started learning about clinical trials for different treatment options.
“Those first 3 months, it was almost impossible to think about anything else…[but] we started learning about all the different trials that were out there.”
